It was an extra special Thanksgiving for one lucky Bronxite as The New York Lottery announced on Thursday, Nov. 28, that one top-prize winning ticket was sold for the Nov 27 Take 5 evening drawing in Kingsbridge Heights. Officials said the prize-winning ticket, worth $35,033, was sold at 1 Deli Bronx LLC, located at 2897 Sedgwick Avenue.
Lottery officials say Take 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39 and the drawing is televised twice daily at 2.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. A lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
According to New York Lottery officials, the lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable one, contributing $3.8 billion in fiscal year 2023-2024 to help support education in New York State.
