The New York Lottery announced one top-prize winning ticket was sold for the Dec. 2 TAKE 5 evening drawing at Liquors, located at 793 Southern Boulevard in the Longwood section of The Bronx, and was worth $33,573.
TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. The drawing is televised twice daily at 2.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. A lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
The Lottery announced on Dec. 22 two third-prize-winning tickets were sold for the Dec 21 Powerball drawing. One ticket was sold at H&Q Lin Inc located at 626 Courtlandt Avenue in the South Bronx and was worth $50,000. Another was sold at Cards & Gifts Inc, located at 2140 Middle Country Road in Centereach, which sold one prize-winning ticket worth $50,000.
The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Power Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
There was also one top-prize winning ticket sold for the Dec 21 TAKE 5 midday drawing, as reported.
New York Lottery officials said the lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable lottery, contributing $3.8 billion in fiscal year 2023-2024 to benefit public schools in New York State.
