The New York Lottery announced on Saturday, Feb. 24, a top-prize winning ticket was sold in The Bronx for the Feb. 23 TAKE 5 EVENING drawing. The ticket was sold at Ranch Mini Market & Deli Inc., located at 2739 White Plains Road in Allerton just southeast of the Parkside Housing Project and was worth $38,846.50.
As reported, just 9 days ago, a top-prize winning ticket was also sold in Allerton for the Feb. 14 midday drawing at 3N Convenience Inc, located at 950 Allerton Avenue, and was worth $18,257.50.
Lottery officials said the TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39 and the drawing is televised twice daily at 2.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. They added that a lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
According to New York Lottery officials, the lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable one, contributing $3.7 billion in fiscal year 2022-2023 to help support education in New York State.
