Norwood: Two Vehicles Damaged in Possible Road Collision at West Mosholu Parkway North

FDNY officials said emergency services responded to a Bronx “trauma” event deemed a police department matter on Saturday, Sept. 9. in the Norwood section of The Bronx.

 

They said they received the call at 8.20 a.m. via a computer aided dispatch regarding a theft at 55 West Mosholu Parkway North.

“Units were assigned to the above address for reports of a trauma,” an FDNY spokesperson said. “The incident was deemed a PD [Police Department] matter only.”

Police officers were observed at the scene along with two damaged black vehicles. FDNY referred us to the NYPD for more information about the incident.

 

When contacted by phone, an NYPD spokeswoman said they had not received any information from the NYPD Collision Investigation Squad (CIS) at that stage and suggested to check back later.

As reported, a moped driver is in critical condition following a separate two-vehicle collision in Bedford Park on Thursday, Sept. 7.

The NYPD handles all criminal aspects of collision investigations, while NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) reviews the street design at the locations of such incidents.
