The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating two people seen in the attached photo who police say are sought in connection with an assault in Norwood by Woodlawn subway station.
Police said that on Sunday, May 21, at around 3 a.m., a 29-year-old male victim was standing outside a business located at 3700 Jerome Avenue in Norwood (which is by Woodlawn subway station which serves the 4 line). While outside, they said a man, unknown to the victim, approached him and began arguing with him.
Police said that as the dispute escalated, a second man, who they said it is believed was unknown to either of the first two, joined the dispute and began punching the victim multiple times.
“The first individual then displayed an unknown cutting instrument and slashed the victim numerous times about the face and head, resulting in multiple lacerations,” a police spokesperson said. “The first individual with the sharp cutting instrument fled the location southbound on Jerome Avenue on foot. The second individual fled the location northbound on Jerome Avenue on foot. EMS responded and transported the aided male victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.”
Police said the first individual is described as male, and has a light complexion. They said the second individual is also described as male and has a dark complexion.
