Norwood: One Arrested and One Sought for Armed Robbery

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos who they say is sought in connection to a robbery that occurred in Norwood.

Police said that on Thursday, Oct. 19, at around 2.37 a.m., a 25-year-old male victim was walking in front of 3600 Jerome Avenue when two males on a moped approached him from behind. They said the two displayed a gun and demanded his property. They said they then stole the victim’s jewelry, cellphone and other property. The total value is estimated at $2,600.

 

Police said the two then fired multiple rounds and fled the location on a moped, traveling southbound on Jerome Avenue to parts unknown. They said there were no injuries reported.

Police said a 14-year-old male was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 26. He was charged with robbery, grand larceny, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, and menacing.

The other suspect is described as male with a medium complexion.
