The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the individual seen in the attached photo who they say is sought in connection with an assault and robbery of an older adult that occurred in Norwood.
Police said that on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at around 4 p.m., outside 3405 Jerome Avenue, a 67-year-old male victim and a group of individuals got into a dispute. “One of the individuals punched the victim in the face, and another individual entered the victim’s vehicle and removed his cellphone,” a police spokesperson said. “The individuals then fled the location on foot to parts unknown. The victim sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized.”
One of the suspects is described as male, has a slim build and a medium complexion. They said he was last seen wearing a black vest, a gray, hooded sweatshirt, gray pants, gray sneakers, and was carrying a gray book bag.
