The NYPD is appealing to the public for help locating and identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who department officials said is wanted in connection to an armed robbery and assault that occurred on the border of Norwood and Bedford Park.
Police said that on Thursday, July 13, at around 8 p.m., a 22-year-old male victim was exiting the turnstiles of the Mosholu Parkway subway station, which serves the 4 train, when he was approached by another person unknown to him. “The individual displayed a knife and demanded the victim’s property,” an NYPD spokesperson said.
The spokesperson went on to say that the suspect also slapped the victim in the face and stole his headphones and various other items, including $100 in cash. They said the suspect was last seen fleeing into “Mosholu Parkway Park.” They said the victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
Police said the suspect is described as male, has a medium complexion, is estimated to be between 21 and 28 years of age, is around 5 feet, 7 inches tall, has a slim build, and was last seen wearing a white hat, a white tank top, gray shorts, black socks, and gray sneakers.
