Police in Norwood have arrested a man after he allegedly sent threatening texts to a woman. A police spokesperson told Norwood News, “It was reported to police that on March 16, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., an individual sent threatening messages to a 40-year-old female in the vicinity of Dekalb Avenue and East 212 Street.” The source added that no injuries were reported.
Police said they subsequently arrested Kevin Guzman, 21, of Dekalb Avenue, who was charged with aggravated harassment and harassment. Attempts to reach Guzman were unsuccessful. He is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
The NYPD investigates incidents of stalking, among other crimes. They say residents can sometimes be unsure if they are, or have been, a victim of a crime, but help is available. “If you are in immediate danger, or have been a victim of a crime, please call 911,” they said. “If you are unsure if you have been the victim of a crime, the NYPD encourages you to visit your local precinct and speak to a police officer to discuss the details of your situation.”
