Norwood: Gunpoint Robbery & Assault

It was reported to police that on Saturday, Oct. 16, at approximately 3.55 a.m., at the northeast corner of Webster Avenue and East 204th Street, a 22-year-old male victim was walking when three unknown individuals approached him.

 

One displayed a black firearm and robbed the victim, at gunpoint, pistol-whipping him about the face as he did so, and forcibly removing a chain from the victim’s neck, before fleeing in an unknown direction.

 

 

The victim called the police and gave a detailed description of the three individuals. Responding officers conducted a search of the area and apprehended two people who were later positively identified by the victim.

 

The third suspect, in possession of the firearm, threw the gun to the ground and was later observed on security camera kicking open a locked door and entering the residential building located at 375 East 205th Street. A black, .40 caliber firearm was recovered. Although the victim sustained bruising to his face, he refused medical attention at the scene.

 

 

The assailant who is still sought is described as a male in his 20s, weighs 180 pounds, is approximately 6 feet, 3 inches tall, has a medium complexion, brown eyes, a beard and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a black T-shirt, black sneakers, and was carrying a black satchel.
