The NYPD is appealing to the public for help identifying five people they say are sought for questioning in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in Norwood on the Fourth of July.
Police said that on Tuesday, July 4, at around 5.35 a.m., a 51-year-old man was walking in the vicinity of Jerome Avenue and East Mosholu Parkway North when he was approached by a group of five.
“One of the individuals displayed a knife while the other individuals forcibly removed the victim’s backpack and glasses,” a police spokesperson said. “The individuals pushed the victim to the ground before fleeing the location northbound on foot. The victim sustained minor lacerations as a result, and refused medical attention on scene.”
