On Monday, Jun. 15, 2020 at approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision in the vicinity of 30 East 208th Street within the confines of the 52nd precinct.
Upon arrival at the location, officers observed a 2017 BMW Suburban which had overturned.
Further investigation revealed that a 36-year-old male passenger of the vehicle grabbed hold of the steering wheel after a verbal argument took place with the 35-year-old female driver.
The female refused medical attention at the scene.
Victor Quiros, 36, the male passenger, 1735 Madison Avenue, New York was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief.
The overturned vehicle was not seen at the location on the morning of Jun. 15, though temporary security barriers were seen across the street from where the incident took place.
A damaged car was also seen at the location and a note from police advising the owner that their vehicle had been involved in a collision, though it was unclear if the referenced collision related to the overturned 2017 BMW Suburban or another incident.
Debris was seen scattered underneath the damaged car which was parked, skimming the sidewalk at 30 East 208th Street. The car doors on one side of the parked vehicle appeared to have been hit at speed by another vehicle.
Anyone with information with regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
