Building applications have been filed with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) to convert a single-story structure located at 3196 Webster Avenue in the Norwood section of The Bronx into a 6-story, residential building, as reported by YIMBY.
Located between East 205th Street and East 207th Street, the lot is near the Norwood subway station, served by the D train. Mendel Fried is listed as the owner behind the applications, according to YIMBY’s reporting.
The proposed 71-foot-tall development will yield 8,438 square feet designated for residential space, and the building will yield 14 residential units, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 603 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar but no accessory parking.
Boaz M. Golani Architect is listed as the architect of record. Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion only. An estimated completion date has not yet been announced.
