Fire department officials said there were no injuries reported after a 2-alarm, residential fire broke out in Norwood on Wednesday morning.
FDNY officials said they received a call at 11.20 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, for a report of a fire at 3079 Decatur Avenue and East Mosholu Parkway, and East 204th Street.
They said the blaze broke out in a 3-story (20 x 60) building, and drew 25 fire units and 106 fire and EMS personnel to the scene.

They said there were no reported injuries and the fire was brought under control at 12.38 p.m. They said the cause remains under investigation.
Meanwhile, representatives from the Red Cross of Greater New York said the organization registered four households (22 individuals, including four children) for emergency assistance, including temporary lodging and financial assistance, following the incident.
“In coming days, our casework team will work with these residents to connect to longer-term recovery resources from government and/or non-profit partners,” Frederic Klein, spokesperson for the Red Cross said.
“If any residents impacted by this fire need help with their recovery and have not already connected with the Red Cross, they should call 877-RED CROSS (877-733-2767),” Klein added.
A separate residential fire had occurred across the street from the latest fire a few years ago resulting in substantial damage.
