North Bronx: Search for Suspect in Forcible Touching Incident

 

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the individual seen in the attached video who is sought for questioning in connection to a forcible touching incident which occurred at a residential building on Valentine Avenue, located in the 52nd precinct. The exact address is not being shared in order to protect the identity of the victim. The 52nd precinct covers the neighborhoods of Bedford Park, Fordham, Kingsbridge, Norwood, Bronx Park and University Heights.

 

On Dec. 26, 2021 at approximately 5 p.m., an unidentified male approached a 24-year-old woman and grabbed her breasts, crotch and buttocks. He then fled to parts unknown. A video of the incident is attached.

 

According to New York Penal Code §130.52, the legal definition of forcible touching is touching the intimate or sexual parts of another person to receive sexual satisfaction or for no legitimate reason at all. Forcible touching is a misdemeanor, Class A, and not a felony like most other sexual offenses. Forcible Touching holds a potential sentence of up to one year in prison.
