Multiple Shooting Leaves 31-Year-Old Man Dead

A man has died following a fatal shooting in the vicinity of the Crotona neighborhood. Police responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot at the intersection of East 178th Street and Arthur Avenue in the 48th precinct on Tuesday, May 25, at around 6 p.m.

 

A preliminary investigation revealed the 31-year-old man had been shot multiple times in the torso during a dispute at the location. He was transported by EMS to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.  There are no arrests at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.

 

The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
