Bronx 4 Trains

The 4 trains in The Bronx will not be running between Woodlawn and 161st Street-Yankee Stadium in either direction from Saturday, March 1, starting at 3.30 a.m. to Sunday, March 2, at 10 p.m. because of track replacement.

For service between 161st Street-Yankee Stadium and Bedford Park Boulevard, use nearby D stations along Grand Concourse.
For service between Bedford Park Boulevard-Lehman College and Woodlawn, take free shuttle buses, which are running between Bedford Park Boulevard (D line) and Woodlawn, stopping at Bedford Park Boulevard-Lehman College and Mosholu Parkway.

Bronx 6 Trains

Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains are running express from 3 Avenue-138th Street to Parkchester from Friday, Feb. 28, from 9.45 p.m. to Monday, March 3, at 5 a.m. because of accessibility work.

For service to/from these stations, take a Manhattan-bound train.

As reported in our latest print edition, scheduled renewal of the mainline between Burnside Avenue and Fordham Road subway stations (4 train) is scheduled for four consecutive weekends from Friday, Feb. 28, to Sunday, March 23. Preparatory work at the crane sites listed below will take place on Fridays from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and track removal and installation will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Crane & Road Closures Locations

Parking will also be restricted for 150 feet along each curb lane at each crane location to allow the placement of a crane and materials.

Meanwhile, as also reported in our latest print edition, the elevators at the Fordham Road (4) station will be taken out of service for replacement starting on or about Monday, March 3. The project is expected to be completed in Q4 2025.
