Mt. Hope: Search for Gunman Sought in Multiple Shooting in Both Legs of Second Man

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying and locating the person seen in the attached photo, who is sought for questioning in connection to a non-fatal shooting / assault that occurred in Mt. Hope.

 

Police said that on Monday, Nov. 7, at around 9.51 a.m., in front of 105 East 175th Street in Mt. Hope, a man got out of a black Honda Pilot with New Jersey license plates and fired multiple times at a 26-year-old male victim. The gunman then fled the scene by car in an unknown direction. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to both his legs and was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

 

“The individual being sought is described as a male with a dark complexion and a medium build, last seen wearing a light-colored du-rag, [a] hooded sweatshirt, pants and sneakers,” a police spokesperson said.

 

A surveillance photo, which shows the suspect prior to the incident and which was obtained from 235 East 172nd Street in Claremont, is attached.
