Mt Hope: Man & Woman in 60s, Victims of Home Invasion & Armed Robbery

A 64-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman have survived a home invasion and robbery which occurred in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx. The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the individuals seen in the attached photos and video who are sought in connection to the incident.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, April 14, at approximately 5.45 p.m. at a home in the vicinity of Valentine Avenue and East Burnside Avenue, the 64-year-old male victim was approached by the group as he was entering his apartment.

At that point, they struck the man multiple times with a metal bar and gun, knocking him to the ground. They then zip-tied and duct-taped both himself and a 60-year-old female victim inside the apartment.

The group stole a safe, cash, a purse, and a backpack from the victims’ apartment, displaying guns as they did so. Several of the group fled the location in a red Dodge sedan.

One fled on foot toward East 180th Street and Valentine Avenue.

The male victim sustained lacerations to the head and face, and was removed by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment.

Video and photos of the individuals and vehicle are attached.
