Mt Hope: 13-Year-Old Boy Robbed at Knifepoint inside Subway Station

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo who is sought for questioning in connection to a robbery that occurred in the 46th precinct / Transit District 11.

It was reported to police that on Friday, Nov. 12, at approximately 2.50 p.m., inside the Jerome Avenue and East Burnside Avenue subway station in Mt Hope, a 13-year-old male victim was standing on the mezzanine level of the 4 train platform when the unknown individual approached him, displayed a knife, and demanded the victim’s chain.

 

The suspect then forcibly removed the chain from around the victim’s neck and fled the station. The victim was not physically injured. The chain, which had a cross pendant attached to it, is valued at $500.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds and has a dark complexion, is of a medium build and has close cut, black hair. He was last seen wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt with “Polo” written on the front, gray sweat pants and white sneakers.
