Mount Eden: New Housing Lottery for Units at Jerome Avenue Residences, July 13 Deadline

A new affordable housing lottery has launched for units at Jerome Avenue Residences, a 21-story, mixed-use building at 1325 Jerome Avenue in Mount Eden, The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.

 

The development is designed by GF55 Partners and developed by The Doe Fund.

 

Available on NYC Housing Connect are 101 units for residents at 40 to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible, annual income from $25,200 to $88,800. Residential amenities include bike storage lockers, a shared laundry room, storage, a recreation room, an outdoor terrace, and a community center. According to YIMBY, a percentage of units will go to community board residents and New York City employees.

 

For residents at 40 percent of the AMI, there is one one-bedroom unit available with a monthly rental payment of $652 for those whose income ranges from $25,200 to $42,960; two one-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $724 for residents whose income ranges from $27,669 to $42,960; two two-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $792 for those whose income ranges from $30,892 to 51,560; and three three-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $1,003 for residents whose income ranges from $39,052 to $59,200.

 

For residents at 50 percent of the AMI, there are seven one-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $920 for those whose income ranges from $34,389 to $53,700; three two-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $1,103 for residents whose income ranges from $41,555 to $64,450; and three three-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $1,274 for those whose income ranges from $48,343 to $74,000.

 

For residents at 60 percent of the AMI, there are three one-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $1,043 for residents whose income ranges from $38,606 to $64,440; 22 one-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $1,115 for residents whose income ranges from $41,075 to $64,440; eight two-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $1,262 for those whose income ranges from $47,006 to $77,340; 26 two-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $1,338 for those whose income ranges from $49,612 to $77,340; and 12 three-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $1,546 for residents whose income ranges from $57,669 to $88,800.

 

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than July 13, 2021.
