On Thursday, Jun. 11, 2020 at approximately 2:58 a.m., police responded to a 911 wellness check call at 379 East 169th Street within the confines of the 44th precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 40-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with multiple stab wounds throughout the body.
EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
