Morris Heights: Two Sought for Armed Robbery

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the people seen in the attached photo who they say are wanted in connection to an armed robbery that occurred in Morris Heights.

 

Police said that on Saturday, May 18, at around midnight, a 47-year-old male was approached by two unknown individuals in the vicinity of Cedar Avenue and Sedgwick Avenue. “One of the individuals displayed a firearm, demanding the victim’s cellphone,” a police spokesperson said. “Once in possession of the cellphone, the other individual forced the victim to unlock the cellphone before fleeing on foot to parts unknown. No injuries were reported at the time of the incident.”

 

Police said the first suspect is described as male, has a dark complexion and a slim build, who was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue and gray shorts, and a black surgical mask.

 

They said the second suspect is also described as a male with a dark complexion and a slim build, who was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue sweatpants, and a black bonnet.
