Police responded to a 911 call regarding a male who had been shot at 65 Featherbed Lane in Morris Heights, in the 46th precinct, on Wednesday, May 12, at approximately 4.53 a.m.
Upon arrival on the third floor of the building, officers observed two aided males; a 61-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the stomach, and a 21-year-old with a gunshot wound to the head.
The 61-year-old was transported by EMS to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The 21-year-old was transported by EMS to BronxCare Health System, where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
