Morris Heights: Police Appeal to Public for Help Identifying Suspect in Fatal Shooting of Man 42

The NYPD is appealing to the public for help identifying the individual seen in the attached video and photo who they say is sought in connection to a homicide that occurred in Morris Heights.

Police said that on Saturday, June 10, at around 4.46 a.m., in the front of 1538 University Avenue, a person unknown to a victim, a 42-year-old male, and discharged a shot him multiple rounds in the torso. The victim was removed to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Lincoln where he was pronounced deceased. The shooter was last seen fleeing southbound on University Avenue.

The shooter is described as male, has a medium complexion, is between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs around 185 to 190 pounds, and has a goatee. He was last seen wearing a multicolored, hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and white clogs.

The deceased is identified as Erasmo Pujols from the Morris Heights section of The Bronx.
