The New York City Police Department said a 69-year-old woman reported missing from Morris Heights has been located.
Prior to being found, police said that Comfort Ankuma of Phelan Place, The Bronx had last been seen on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at around 11 a.m., leaving her home. They said she was described as being around 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
On Friday, Dec. 22, police said Ankuma was found and is safe.
Ankuma’s home is located just a three-minute walk from where a building collapsed on Monday, Dec. 11. at 1915 Billingsley Terrace. However, she was last seen the day after the collapse.
