Montefiore Helps Spread Awareness of Diabetes

Diabetic patients treated at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) got an education in diabetes at the Bronx zoo.

The 6th annual education date event, hosted by the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at CHAM, featured activities such as face painting, magic tricks and coloring for the young patients. There was also an area for kids to play with a bubble-making machine.

The Norwood News exists to foster communication among citizens and organizations and to be a tool for neighborhood development efforts. The Norwood News runs the Bronx Youth Journalism Heard, a journalism training program for Bronx high school students.
