Hudson Line train service changes will be in effect the week of April 3-7, according to Metro North officials, as crews repair track and switch damage near Beacon caused by a freight train with mechanical problems.

All inbound Poughkeepsie and Beacon trains will depart between 3 and 5 minutes earlier than the current timetable to allow for extra time to pass the trackwork area, according to Metro North officials who added that adjusted schedules and additional information will be added to mta.info and the TrainTime app shortly.
