Man Opens Fire at Fordham Road Subway Station Firing Multiple Rounds

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the individuals seen in the attached video who are sought in connection to a reckless endangerment incident which occurred in transit on the number 4 subway line.

It was reported to police that on Saturday, April 16, at approximately 1.50 a.m., an unidentified individual displayed a gun on a northbound number 4 subway approaching the Fordham Road subway station in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx and discharged it multiple times. No injuries were reported.
The video recording of the incident is attached.

As reported by The Gothamist, the NYPD is also looking for a gunman responsible for the death of a 24-year-old man, who died Monday evening after a rush hour shooting incident occurred inside a Jamaica subway station in Queens.

The victim was, reportedly, standing near a token booth inside the Archer Avenue/Parsons Boulevard subway station around 4:30 p.m. Monday when a verbal dispute with the suspect quickly turned physical, according to Chief of Transit Jason Wilcox. A fight ensued, resulting in several rounds being fired into the victim’s torso, police said.

Both incidents follow the recent mass shooting, as reported, aboard the N train at Sunset Park’s 36th Street subway station in Brooklyn earlier this month. Though several people were shot aboard the subway, none were killed. Frank James, 62, was later arrested following the incident.

A person arrested and charged with a crime is innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.

Anyone with information regarding either incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/
