Little Yemen: 50-Year-Old Man Struck Repeatedly in Head with Hammer by Woman

 

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the individuals seen in the attached video who are sought in connection with an assault that occurred in the vicinity of the Little Yemen section of the Bronx, located in the 49th precinct.

 

On Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021 at approximately 9.55 p.m., a group of individuals got into a verbal dispute with a 50-year-old male victim inside a bodega, located at 685 Morris Park Avenue. The dispute escalated, at which point one of the assailants, a female, identified by police as Individual 1, displayed a hammer, which she used to strike the victim in the head.

 

The assault continued in front of the location, where the woman continued to strike the victim in the head with the hammer.  While the assault continued, a second assailant, a man, identified by police as Individual 2, displayed a firearm, which he discharged once, striking the side of the bodega.

 

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition, where he received stitches. The video is attached.
