Kingsbridge Vicinity: Police Appeal to Public for Help Identifying Two in Bronx Robbery Pattern

THE NYPD IS asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached media who they say is one of two people sought in connection to a robbery pattern identified across the 50th Precinct.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the person seen in the attached photos who they say is sought in connection to a robbery pattern identified across the 50th Precinct, which covers the neighborhoods of Riverdale, Fieldston, Kingsbridge, Marble Hill, and Spuyten Duyvil.

 

They said the first incident occurred on Sunday April 21, at around 6.45 a.m. when a 53-year-old male victim was walking near the intersection of West 231st Street and Tibbett Avenue in Kingsbridge and an unidentified female approached and asked him for money. They said when the victim refused, a second unidentified male approached and displayed a knife while demanding cash from the victim. They said the victim surrendered $35 and both suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle to parts unknown. They said the victim was not injured.

 

Police said the second incident took place on Sunday April 21, at around 10.20 a.m. when a 68-year-old woman was walking near the intersection of Mosholu Avenue and Huxley Avenue in the Mosholu section of the borough (north of Fieldston) and an unidentified female once again approached the victim and demanded her purse. They said when the victim refused, an unidentified male appeared from behind the female suspect and took the victim’s purse which contained $20 and other personal effects. They said the two then fled to parts unknown, and the victim was not injured.

Police said the third incident took place on Sunday April 21, at around 11.45 a.m. They said a 79-year-old female victim was walking near the intersection of West 233rd Street and Broadway in Kingsbridge when an unidentified male approached her and stole her purse which contained an Apple iPhone, car keys, and other personal effects, before fleeing in a vehicle to parts unknown.
