Kingsbridge: Person Sought following Slashing of 58-Year-Old Man

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the person seen in the attached media who they say is wanted in connection with an assault incident that occurred in Kingsbridge.

 

Police said that on Wednesday, May 29, at around 10 p.m. in front of 5625 Broadway, an unidentified person approached a 58-year-old man from behind with a knife, causing a laceration to the left wrist, left arm, and left thumb. They said the suspect fled westbound on West 232nd Street to parts unknown, and the victim was transported by EMS to New York-Presbyterian Allen Hospital in stable condition.

“There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing,” a police spokesperson said. “The individual being sought is described as male with a light complexion and is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall.”

 

The spokesperson added, “The individual was last seen wearing a black facemask, a black and red sweatshirt with a graphic on the front, black jeans, white sneakers, and a multicolored backpack.”
