The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached media who they say is wanted in connection to a burglary pattern that has been identified in Kingsbridge.
Police said the first incident took place on Monday, March 25, at around 3 a.m. when an unidentified person forced their way into a residential building in the vicinity of Corlear Avenue and West 231st Street. They said the person used a crowbar to pry open the front door of the lobby and later fled on foot northbound along Corlear Avenue. They said no property was removed from the location, and no injuries were reported.
Police said the second incident took place on Friday, April 5, at around 2.52 a.m. when an unidentified person once again forcibly entered a the same residential building in the vicinity of Corlear Avenue and West 231st Street. They said the person used a crowbar to pry open the front door of the lobby and subsequently fled on foot northbound along Corlear Avenue. Once again, no property was removed from the location, and no injuries were reported. [Burglary is defined as entering a building illegally with intent to commit a crime, especially theft.]
They said the person sought is described as male, has a light complexion and slim build, is between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and has a gray goatee.They said he was last seen wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with a “New York” logo on the front, gray pants, and white and gray sneakers.
