The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual seen in the attached surveillance photos who is wanted in connection to a robbery that occurred, in transit, in the 52nd precinct / Transit District #11.
It was reported to police that on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, at approximately 6.45 p.m., a 26-year-old female victim was on board the northbound “B/D” line at the Kingsbridge Road subway station, when an unidentified man reached into the train while the doors were open and grabbed the victim’s book bag.
The victim attempted to pull back the book bag from the individual, but was unable to retrieve it. The individual then fled on foot to parts unknown with the bag, which contained credit cards and approximately $85.
The victim sustained minor injuries to her right hand but refused medical attention at the scene.
The individual is described as a dark-skinned adult male, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, has a medium build, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, black jacket, black, white and red “Jordan” sneakers, and a dark blue and white face mask.
The surveillance photos of the individual were obtained from incident location.
