The NYPD announced on June 1 that a 29-year-old Manhattan man was arrested in connection with the robbery and assault of a woman that occurred in early May in Kingsbridge Heights.
As reported, the NYPD had been asking for the public’s help identifying the people seen in the attached photos who they said were sought in connection with the incident.
Police had said that on Wednesday, May 1, at around 3.30 a.m., a 49-year-old female victim was outside 3001 Kingsbridge Terrace when two unidentified males grabbed her and stole her purse, cellphone, and other property.
They said one of the group punched the victim multiple times in the head and face. “Both individuals fled the location on foot to parts unknown,” a policespokesperson said. “The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention.”
They said the first suspect was described as male, has a dark complexion, and a medium build. They said he was last seen wearing a blue jacket with fur, black pants, and white and black sneakers.
Police said the second suspect was described as male, has a light complexion, and a slim build. They said he was last seen wearing a black bubble jacket, a red, hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers with white trim.
Police said on June 1 that pursuant to an ongoing investigation, Jordany Reyes, 29, of West 159th Street in Manhattan, was arrested and charged on May 29, at 9 p.m. in the confines of the 50th Precinct:
They said he was charged wtih second-degree robbery and third-degree robbery. He is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
