Kingsbridge Heights: Housing Lottery Launches for Units at 2779, 2781 University Avenue

A new affordable housing lottery has launched for units in a pair of four-story residential buildings at 2779/2781 University Avenue in the Kingsbridge Heights section of the Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.

 

Designed by Woody Chen of Infocus and developed by Yaniv Zohar, the structures yield a total of 18 residential units.

Available on NYC Housing Connect, the online portal for New York City Department of Housing, Preservation & Development (HPD), are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $61,715 to $167,570.

 

According to NYC Housing Connect, amenities include an elevator, bike storage lockers, and a gym. Residences come with in-unit washers and dryers. Tenants are responsible for electricity for cooking, heat, and hot water.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are two one-bedroom units with a monthly rental payment of $1,800 for those with incomes ranging from $61,715 to $139,620 and four one-bedroom units with a monthly rental payment of $2,000 for those with incomes ranging from $68,572 to $167,570.

 

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments, and applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than January 20, 2022.
