Building applications have been filed with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) for a new, 6-story, residential building at 2754 Creston Avenue in the Kingsbridge Heights section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.
Located between East 196th Street and East 197th Street, the lot is closest to the Kingsbridge Road subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Alfred Mitaj of First Structure LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications, according to YIMBY.
The proposed 60-foot-tall development will yield 9,190 square feet designated for residential space and the building will yield 22 residential units, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 417 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Rise Architects is listed as the architect of record. Demolition permits were filed in January 2022 for the existing, three-story residential structure on the site. An estimated completion date for the new building has not yet been announced.
Building applications had been filed previously in March 2021 for a 12-story building at 2702 Creston Avenue in nearby Fordham Manor, as reported, and in October 2021, applications were also filed with DOB for an 8-story, residential building at nearby 2769 Creston Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights, as reported. Later that year, in December 2021, as reported, building applications were also filed for a new 8-story building at 2678 Creston Avenue in nearby Fordham Manor.
Earlier this year in January, as reported, applications were also filed for a new 6-story, residential building at 2758 Creston Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights. Once again, in January 2023, as reported, applications were once again filed with DOB for a new, 9-story building at 2741 Creston Avenue in Kingsbridge Heights.
