New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD) has announced an affordable housing Lottery for units at 2851 University Avenue in the Kingsbridge Heights section of The Bronx as reported by YIMBY.
The lottery is in respect of a 6-story, residential building, designed by Badaly Architects, and developed by Anton Ujkaj, according to YIMBY. The structure will yield 18 residential units and available on NYC Housing Connect, HPD’s online portal, are six units for residents earning 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $51,429 to $187,330.
Amenities include a bicycle storage room and parking for residents. Tenants are responsible for electricity, with electric stove, heat, and hot water.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are two studios with a monthly rental payment of $1,500, for those on incomes ranging from $51,429 to $138,840; three one-bedroom units with a monthly rental payment of $1,650, for residents with incomes ranging from $56,572 to $156,130; and one two-bedroom unit with a monthly rental payment of $2,300, for those with incomes ranging from $78,858 to $187,330.
According to YIMBY, prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for the apartments, and applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than Nov. 30, 2022.
