The FDNY said fire units responded to 68 West 238th Street in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx on March 21 at 7:35 p.m. regarding a fire on the 1st floor of a 5-story, multiple dwelling.
Fire officials later indicated in a tweet that the location of the fire was in Apartment 3C on the first floor.

Officials later confirmed the fire was brought under control at approximately 8:05 p.m. and that there were no injuries.
A citizen user posted a video of the aftermath where a few of the higher windows in the building were seen blown out while one apparent resident was seen emptying a bucket of water outside the building. The user said some residents appeared to be remaining in the building and there did not appear to have been a full evacuation.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Norwood News is continuing to follow up with FDNY on the cause.
