Highbridge: Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for Units at 990 Woodycrest Avenue

An affordable housing lottery has launched for units at 990 Woodycrest Avenue, a six-story, residential building in the Highbridge section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY. Designed by Infocus and developed by Yaniv Zohar under the Woodycrest Avenue LLC, the structure yields 20 residential units.

 

Available on NYC Housing Connect, the online portal for New York City Department of Housing, Preservation and Development (HPD), are eight units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $49,715 to $167,570.

Amenities include covered parking,* assigned parking spaces,* a shared laundry room,* gymnasium, storage,* and rooftop terrace* (additional fees apply).

 

Units come equipped with dishwashers, air conditioning, energy-efficient appliances, hardwood floors, name-brand appliances and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity. which includes stove, heat, and hot water.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are two studios with a monthly rent of $1,450, for incomes ranging from $49,715 to $124,150; two one-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $1,700, for incomes ranging from $58,286 to $139,620; and four two-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $1,900, for incomes ranging from $65,143 to $167,570.

 

This building is anticipated to receive a tax exemption through the 421a tax incentive program of NYC HPD.

Only one application per applicant is allowed. Tenants are responsible for electricity (including stove, heat and hot water) The building has an accessible entrance, an elevator, and is smoke-free.
