The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the people seen in the attached photos who the department says are sought in connection to a Bronx-wide robbery pattern, which includes robberies in both Fordham Heights and Belmont.

The first incident took place just south of the Concourse section of The Bronx in the 44th Precinct on Thursday, March 9, at around 7.40 p.m., police said. An NYPD spokesperson said the victim, a 39-year old man, was selling merchandise at the intersection of East 153rd Street and River Avenue, when a group of four male individuals stole an item from the victim’s stand and said they would not pay for it.

The group then fled on foot and were pursued by the victim to River Avenue and East 151st Street, where the perpetrators pepper sprayed, punched, and kicked the victim, police said. The victim was able to recover his property, police said but suffered a burning sensation to the eyes and pain and swelling to the face. “EMS removed the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Lincoln for treatment, in stable condition,” the spokesperson said. “The male individuals fled on foot southbound on River Avenue.”

The second incident also took place also just south of the Concourse section of The Bronx in the 44th Precinct. One of the group punched the victim in the face before stealing his cellphone and a large amount of cash, a police spokesperson said. “A second individual then displayed a sharp unknown object,” the spokesperson said. “The entire group fled the location on foot in an unknown direction.” According to police, the victim sustained a minor injury as a result of being punched, and was treated on scene by EMS.

The fifth incident was reported on the southern border of the Belmont section of The Bronx, in the 48th Precinct. Police said that on Saturday, March 11, at around 2.11 p.m., a 15-year-old male victim was near the intersection of East 181st Street and Clinton Avenue when five unknown individuals began walking towards him. “One of the individuals acted as a look-out while the other four individuals approached the victim,” a police spokesperson said. “Of these four individuals, one of them simulated a firearm while the other individuals forcibly removed the victim’s cellphone and headphones.”
