The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating the person depicted in the attached police sketch who is sought in connection to a sexual abuse incident that occurred in transit in the southwest region of the Bronx, south of the Concourse neighborhood.

A police spokesperson said that on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at around 3.27 p.m., an 11-year-old girl was traveling northbound on the 4 train approaching the East 149th Street and Grand Concourse subway station when she was approached by a man unknown to her.

The man displayed a knife and, in Spanish, told the victim to “be quiet.” The spokesperson said, “He proceeded to caress the victim’s leg, waist and buttocks before exiting the train at the 161st Street – Yankee Stadium subway station.” The man later fled to parts unknown.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of the incident. The assailant is described as male, is around 40 years old, and around 5 feet tall.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/ or on Twitter @NYPDTips.
