Funeral Details Released for Julian Brea Mataj, a Young Friends of Pelham Parkway Volunteer

FUNERAL DETAILS FOR Julian Brea Mataj, 17, a young volunteer with Friends of Pelham Parkway who, it is understood, died during the first week of October 2023, have been released.

Friends of Pelham Parkway shared on Friday, Oct. 6, that the funeral arrangements for Julian Brea, 17, one of their young volunteers who died earlier this week, as reported, are available online and are as follows:

Viewing, Sunday, Oct. 8, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Farenga Bros Funeral Home, 920 Allerton Ave, Bronx, NY, 10469

Funeral Mass, Monday, Oct. 9, 8.30 a.m., Holy Cross Church, Bronx, NY

Interment, Monday, Oct. 9, Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY

Memories and condolence messages can be left on the following legacy.com funeral notification page in Julian’s memory. His family are reportedly devastated by his loss, according to Friends of Pelham Parkway.

As reported, reacting to Julian’s passing, Roxanne Delgado of Friends of Pelham Parkway said, “Post this with great sadness – this beautiful young boy has passed away. Rest in Peace Julian. We had the privilege of your participation in our clean up events.”

 

She added, “Funeral arrangements are this Saturday. Funeral details will be shared when provided. Condolences to his father and his family. What a tragedy and sad news today – heartbreaking. Julian was such a polite, well-mannered gentleman.”
