Fordham/University Heights: Man Wanted for Gunpoint Robbery

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating and identifying the person seen in the attached photos and video who is sought in connection to a gunpoint robbery that occurred on the border of Fordham Heights and University Heights.

Police at the 46th Precinct said that on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at around 3.52 a.m., in the vicinity of Jerome Avenue and West 184th Street, a man approached a 27-year-old male victim, displayed a gun, and demanded money from him. “The subject fled southbound with $150 currency on Jerome Avenue to parts unknown,” a police spokesperson said. “There are no reported injuries.”

The gunman was described by police as a man with a light complexion, estimated to be in his 40s, has a medium build, is around 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and has short salt and pepper colored hair. He was last seen wearing a yellow jacket with the words, “Sean John” affixed to the front of it in white lettering.

His clothing description was taken from a video recording captured a short distance away from the robbery location in which the assailant is seen turning his jacket inside out, to reveal a navy blue jacket with white lettering affixed to the front of it, black pants, and dark colored shoes.

The video and photo obtained from the incident location, according to police, are attached.
