Fordham Manor: Police Appeal for Help Locating Man Sought for Armed Assault

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who they say is wanted in connection to an armed assault that occurred on the border of Kingsbridge Heights and Fordham Manor.

 

Police said that on Sunday, Sept. 29, at around 1.15 p.m., a 49-year-old male victim was walking in the vicinity of University Avenue and West Kingsbridge Road when an unidentified male approached him and stabbed him in the back and foot with a metal object. “The unidentified individual then fled the location on foot in an unknown direction,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious but stable condition.”

As reported, in a separate incident, also around 1 p.m. on Sunday, a 29-year-old man was fatally shot in the head at 788 East 182nd Street in the Belmont section of The Bronx.
