Police said they have arrested a 16-year-old male on robbery charges following a robbery in Fordham Manor on the D train last month. Two other people are still being sought in connection to the incident.
The NYPD had been asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the group seen in the attached video who they said are wanted in connection to the robbery.
They said that on Sunday, March 31, at around noon, the victim, a 38-year-old male, was exiting a southbound D train at the Fordham Road subway station when he was followed off the train by three individuals. They said the three approached the victim, displayed a knife, and stole the victim’s sneakers and book bag which contained a coat.
Police said the three were last seen fleeing out of the subway station and traveling northbound along East 188th Street on foot. They said the victim was uninjured.
Police said the first person sought was described as male, is around 5 feet, 7 inches tall, has a light complexion, a slim build, and blonde curly hair. They said he was last seen wearing a black balaclava, a black jacket with a fur hood, black pants, and black sneakers. They said he was last seen carrying the victim’s dark-colored book bag.
They said the second person sought was described as male, is around 5 feet, 7 inches tall, has a light complexion and a slim build. They said he was last seen wearing a black balaclava, a gray, hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and dark-colored sneakers.
Police said the third person sought is described as male, is around 5 feet, 7 inches tall, has a dark complexion, a slim build, and dark curly hair. They said he was last seen wearing a black surgical mask, a dark colored jacket, dark colored jeans, and dark colored sneakers.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, they said a 16-year-old male was arrested on Tuesday, April 9, at 7.02 p.m. in the confines of the 46th Precinct, and was charged with robbery.
