The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the man seen in the attached surveillance photos in connection with an assault that occurred in Fordham Manor.
It was reported to police that on Tuesday, May 25, at around 6 p.m., in front of a residential building located in the vicinity of Jerome Avenue and West 192nd Street in the 52nd precinct, a 41-year-old man was approached by the suspect and the two engaged in a verbal dispute which escalated into a physical encounter.
The suspect displayed a knife and stabbed the victim in his torso, before fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he has since been treated and released.
The suspect is described as an adult male, approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, a blue baseball cap and sneakers
