Fordham Manor: Man Sought for Stabbing Passenger in Chest on Subway Platform

 

A 25-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in the chest in Fordham Manor.

 

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached surveillance video and photos who is sought in connection with the assault which occurred in Fordham Road subway station.


Police said on Sunday, Aug. 14, at approximately 9 p.m., the victim, a 25-year-old man, was on the southbound platform of the 4 subway line inside Fordham Road subway station when, after a verbal dispute, an unidentified man took out a knife and stabbed the victim once in the abdomen.

 

“The male individual then fled topside on foot to parts unknown,” a police spokesperson said. “The victim was removed to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.”

 

Police said the person sought is described as male, is 30 to 40 years of age, has a medium build, a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing a white tank top, black shorts, blue socks, sandals, and a baseball hat.

 

Surveillance video and photos of the suspect are attached, which police say were obtained from the MTA.
