The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo (above) who they say is wanted for questioning in connection to an assault that occurred in Fordham Manor.
Police said that on Saturday, Jan. 27, at around 3.45 p.m., a 32-year-old male victim was in the vicinity of 327 East Kingsbridge Road, when the suspect got into a verbal dispute with him and stabbed him once in the abdomen. “The victim was removed by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition,” a police spokesperson said.
Police said the suspect is described as male, has a dark complexion and a slim build. They said he was last seen wearing a black and white jacket, an orange, hooded sweatshirt, a black hat, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
The location of the stabbing, outside Cee & Cee Department Store on Fordham Road, was also the general vicinity of a serious crash in 2011, and another crash in 2021.
Norwood News went back to speak to nearby store employees the next day who said they did not know anything about the incident.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/, on Twitter @NYPDTips.
