Update: Bronx Robbery Pattern, including Grand Auto Theft

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance locating four men wanted in connection with the theft of three vehicles and the assault of an employee at a Webster Avenue parking garage. The investigation is part of a search to locate and identify the several individuals seen in the attached video and photographs, who are wanted in connection with several robberies that occurred across the borough in recent weeks.

Police were called to the G & S Sons Parking Lot at 2740 Webster Avenue in Fordham Manor in the 52nd precinct regarding a gunpoint auto theft incident at the outdoor parking garage at 2.55 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 58-year-old male parking attendant with bruises and abrasions. Further investigation revealed four suspects arrived at the location in a vehicle, while the attendant had been starting up three separate vehicles, which he then left running while waiting for their respective owners to arrive and pick them up.

Before the owners arrived, the attendant greeted the four vehicle occupants, who inquired about parking their vehicle at the location. He told them the lot was full, at which point, three of the men exited their vehicle, one brandishing a firearm.

They forced the parking attendant into a service booth, tied him up with cable wire taken from the location, and kicked him about the head and body.

The three suspects took $180 from the victim, as well as his wallet. They then entered each parked, idling and unattended vehicle, a dark colored Honda CRV, a black Toyota Camry and a black Porsche. Together, along with the fourth vehicle in which they had arrived, which was still occupied by the fourth remaining suspect, they fled the location.

At least two of the vehicles were observed driving over the Broadway Bridge into Manhattan. The NYPD said that the incident was part of a Bronx robbery pattern, and released photos of the suspects wanted for similar crimes in the 43rd and 49th precincts. The four suspects in the 52nd precinct incident were described as Hispanic men in their 20s.

There are no arrests in relation to the 52nd precinct robbery at this time and the investigation remains ongoing. There was no assault complaint report on file, based on the information provided in relation to the incident and the parking attendant refused medical attention at the scene.

In incident number 1, in the 49th precinct, which took place on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at approximately 5.05 a.m., inside 1280 Allerton Avenue [Amoco Gas Station], one of the individuals gained entry to the location by breaking the glass window of the front door. Four others remained outside and kept watch.

Once inside, the suspect took car keys from behind the counter and used one of the keys to enter a white Nissan Maxima. The suspects then fled the scene with the Nissan Maxima.

In incident number 2, in the 43rd precinct, which took place on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at approximately 5.30 p.m., at 1440 Westchester Avenue [Westchester Avenue Car Wash], a 63-year-old female victim’s car [Toyota Rav4] was washed and left unsecured and unattended in front of the location. A suspect entered the vehicle and fled the scene.

In incident number 3, in the 49th precinct, which took place on Friday, March 5, 2021, at approximately 3.09 a.m., at 2835 White Plains Road [White Plains Secure Parking], four individuals forced their way into the location’s office.

One of the suspects brandished a handgun and threw a 28-year-old male employee to the floor while the other suspects ransacked the office. The suspects took the victim’s wallet and credit card, and also stole five vehicles [a Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2 Honda Accords, a Kia Optima, an Acura MDX].

In incident number 4, in the 49th precinct, which took place on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at approximately 5.05 a.m., at 2155 East Tremont Avenue [Parkchester Tremont Parking], five suspects assaulted a 66-year-old male employee and removed $540 in cash along with five car keys from inside the office.

The employee managed to enter a vehicle and reportedly tried to prevent the suspects from leaving the location by driving towards them. The suspects fled the scene, two on foot and three inside a blue Acura MDX.
